About Sleepy Acre
Founded in 2019 in the heart of the Bristol countryside, we've dedicated ourselves to giving abandoned and mistreated cats a second chance at life.
From three strays
to a sanctuary.
Sleepy Acre began when founder Emma Clarke took in three stray cats during a harsh winter in 2019. What started as a spare bedroom became a purpose-built sanctuary on a two-acre smallholding just outside Bristol.
Today we care for up to 40 animals at a time, supported by a small team of dedicated volunteers and the generosity of our local community.
